May 7 – May 13, 2010

5/7            Contract officer conducted a traffic assignment (Stop Sign Enforcement) at Greenbelt Road at Rhode Island Ave.  7 citations were issued

5/7 Contract officer conducted a traffic assignment (Stop Sign Enforcement) at Knox Road at Rhode Island Ave.  7 citations were issued

5/7 Contract officers assisted the beat officers with a motor vehicle accident (pedestrian struck) in the 9800 block of Baltimore Ave.

5/7 Contract officer responded to a call for service for 10 males selling CDS to the rear of 4700 block Lakeland Road.  As the officer approached several males fled but two were detained.  Recovered from the ground was 12 grams of marijuana and the two male suspects were checked for active warrants with negative results.  SOW

5/8 Contract officer on routine patrol was flagged down by the victim of a vandalism to auto at Knox Road at Yale Road.  The incident occurred on Princeton Ave and the contract officer handled the incident.

5/8 Contract officers assisted the beat officer with a report of a theft of a cell phone at Knox Road at Baltimore Ave.  The suspects were stopped at Baltimore Ave at Regents Parkway and taken into custody.

5/10 Contract officer responded to a call for service for a theft from auto report at 7100 block Baltimore Ave (Plato’s).  Verified-GPS Unit was taken

5/10 Contract officer on routine patrol observed a suspicious person loitering to the rear of 4700 block Lakeland Road.  A field interview was conducted and the male was SOW.  The suspicious male stopped lived in Oxon Hill and had no legitimate purpose for being there.

5/11 Contract officer responded to a call for service for a report of a theft from auto at 9100 block Baltimore Ave. (Super 8 Motel) Incident verified-tools stolen

5/11 Contract officer issued two criminal citations for Failure to Obey a Lawful Order and Disorderly Conduct, after coming into contact with a group of intoxicated  individuals.

5/12 Contract officer conducted a traffic assignment (Stop Sign Enforcement) at Edmonston Road at Radcliffe Street.  2 citations were issued

5/13 Contract officer assisted MNCPP at the Budget Inn located at 5000 block Branchville Road in reference to a search warrant.  A female suspect was taken into custody for several thefts from autos, which occurred in the College Park area.

5/13 Contract officers responded to the report of a Citizen Armed Robbery at the Comfort Inn located at 9020 Baltimore Ave.  The victim exited his vehicle and was approached by two male suspects.  One suspect was armed with a revolver and demanded the victim’s money.  Both suspects fled to the rear of the Inn.  Extensive search was conducted with negative results.

5/13 Contract officer responded to a call for service for a suspicious vehicle at 5000 block Laguna Road.  Criminal citation was issued for possession of an open alcoholic beverage.
